Logan Thibault is a U.S. Marine that has seen his fair share of action in his three tours of duty in Iraq. But on his last tour he comes across something that changes everything… a picture of a beautiful woman. He doesn’t know where it came from, but his fellow troops soon realize that this photo seems to bring Logan good luck. When he returns home he begins to think that there may be something to this whole luck thing. With some prompting from a friend, Logan sets out from Colorado to North Carolina to find this woman.

After some detective work, Logan tracks down the woman, Beth, and gets a job at her family’s dog training kennel. He starts to settle in Hampton and slowly begins to bond with Beth’s Nana and son, Ben. Beth however has a bad feeling about Logan. Between feeling like he’s hiding something and her knowing that her younger brother, also a Marine, was killed by friendly fire in Iraq, Beth can’t bring herself to like Logan let alone trust him. But finally, after weeks of trying, Logan breaks down her walls. Things are really looking up for Logan, but there are just two little things in their way. The truth about why Logan’s there in the first place, and Beth’s powerful, and slightly possessive, ex-husband.

This book was really a catchy book and it had all the elements that Sparks fans have come to know and love. If any of you are looking for a quick, but good read, or if you are a Nicholas Sparks fan this book is definitely for you! J

Books have become a part of my life. However, that wasn't always the case. Since discovering the wonder of books, I can't seem to find enough time in the day to indulge in my bibliophilic ways. This page is to catalog those things which I have read. I hope you enjoy!
